Ringette playoffs were in full swing this weekend with a strong showing from the U12, U14 and U16 Thunder.
The number five ranked U12 team defeated the #4 ranked Steinbach Panthers 7 to 6 in a very tight game coming from behind 6-5 with 2 goals in the last minute and a half. On Sunday they took down the undefeated #1 ranked Beausejour Ringers to advance to the next round against the BVRA Blaze.
The #4 ranked U14 Thunder defeated the #5 ranked North Stars on Saturday with a decisive 10 - 1 victory and followed that up Sunday with a 6-2 victory over the #1 ranked Lorette Royals. They progress to face the #2 ranked Red River Rage on Sunday.
The #1 ranked U16 Thunder started strong taking down River East 11 - 1 and followed that with a victory over the Interlake Stingers 6 to 2. Their next opponent to be determined.
